The 2nd Kuala Lumpur International Sukuk Conference, held at the Securities
Commission Malaysia, brought together experts to discuss the future of Sukuk in
the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The conference highlighted the
integration of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence in the Islamic
finance sector, particularly in sukuk operations. Keynote speakers, including
the Deputy Finance Minister, emphasized the potential of these technologies to
enhance transparency and efficiency in financial transactions. The event also
featured a special presentation on how blockchain can enable a trust economy for
the Sukuk industry, showcasing Malaysia’s progressive adoption of innovative
financial technologies.
Notably, the CEO of MGATE Emerging Technologies was invited to present at the
conference, underscoring the company’s leadership in leveraging blockchain for
Islamic finance. The conference provided a platform for industry leaders to
