Earth Hour is a global movement that aims to raise awareness and inspire action for our planet’s health and well-being. It started in 2007 as a simple gesture of turning off the lights for one hour, but it has grown into a powerful symbol of solidarity and hope for millions of people around the world.

This year, Earth Hour will take place on Saturday, March 25th, from 8:30 to 9:30 pm local time. The theme for this year is “Your hour, your power”, which encourages us to adopt more sustainable lifestyles and behaviors that can help conserve and restore our natural resources and ecosystems.

We invite you all to join us in celebrating Earth Hour by switching off your lights and non-essential appliances for one hour, and by giving an hour of your time to do something positive for our planet. You can choose from a variety of activities, such as reconnecting with nature, learning more about biodiversity loss and climate change, restoring your local environment, or inspiring others to care for our planet.

You can also check out the Earth Hour website (https://www.earthhour.org/) to find out more about the movement, its impact, and how you can get involved beyond the hour. You can also browse and attend online or in-person events organized by WWF and other partners around the world.

Earth Hour is more than just an hour. It is a catalyst for change that can make a difference for our one home. Let’s make this year’s Earth Hour the biggest one yet!
